Louder Faster, the world premiere commission by Jeff Hatcher and Eric Simonson and directed by Tracy Brigden, opens on Friday. This high-energy comedy was inspired by “The Great Collaborator,” George S. Kaufman. The Pittsburgh born-and-bred playwright was one of the most prolific and influential voices in theatre in the 20th century, and nearly always worked with a collaborator when writing. In Louder Faster, Kaufman has returned home to Pittsburgh to cure a case of writer’s block and write a full-length play in two days. But mistaken identities, slamming doors, and under-cover FBI agents don’t make it easy! Check out the trailer below:
